Environmental education

Environmental education is key to raising awareness among citizens and communities by giving them the right tools to understand the territory around them and build a more sustainable future.

For this reason the initiative promotes an awareness campaign aimed at the local population articulated in different activities that will allow them to learn more about the natural environment of the Middle Brenta and the relationship between the environment and drinking water.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS

A path designed for schools in the coastal municipalities, curated by the Etra Academy, to show children the importance of biodiversity and the water of their river.

AWARENESS-RAISING AND WASTE COLLECTION EVENTS IN THE AREA

One day of waste collection per year is planned for schools in the coastal municipalities that have hosted the educational activities, associations and citizens.

SEMINARS AND FIELD TRIPS FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The activity consists of the realization of 6 seminars on specific environmental themes for the students of the University of Padua enrolled in the courses of management of protected areas, forest and rural economy and policy, hydrogeology and similar.

The seminars will be followed by a field visit to the intervention sites.

TRAINING COURSE FOR MUNICIPALITIES AND ASSOCIATIONS IN THE BRENTA AREA

A training course structured in the following modules is provided for municipal technicians and associations: regulatory and management aspects of Natura 2000 sites; the “Grave e Zone Umide del Brenta” area; economic, social and environmental values; conservation measures; innovative socio-economic management models; funding opportunities.
